Clinical Supervision and Preparing for the Approved Clinical Supervisior (ACS) credential

  • In today’s clinical settings Clinicians, Therapists, and Practioners are charged with delivering care to acute and chronic clients. In addition, they are often charged to deliver clients’ care while maintaining current documentation, exceeding high caseloads, and in some cases stressful work environment.
    As the result, supervision is very critical in order to promote the staffs and clients’ wellness. So therefore, it is crucial that clinical supervisors are armed with effective models, ethical and legal foundations and resources.
    This presentation will serve as a catalysis for this process. In addition, this presentation will prepare the attended to apply for their Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential

A. To gain insight into clinical supervision

B. To improve and expand clinical supervision skills

C. To apply the legal and ethical dimensions to clinical supervision

D. To be informed on becoming an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS)

Objectives:

Analyze some of the supervision models

2. Formulate better relationships with their supervisees   

3. Better assess the effectiveness of their supervision methods

4. Create ethically and legally sound supervision practices

5. Effectively apply for their Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential
